In the morning we decided to chill and enjoy the sunrise above the sea even though it was pretty cloudy but quietness and fresh air had its own spirit.

Rain followed us on the way to Byron Bay so the town was also quite empty and we headed to have the lunch and tried the shared plate of seafood which was huge and delicious. I wanted to explore the city more and to feel the local spirit of it but half day was not enough for that. I think I will be coming back here in the near future.

Next sightseeing point was Cape Byron Lighthouse. Following the

walking track to it we passed through the most eastern point of Australia where both sunrise and sunset can be seen. We saw 2 dolphins swimming together and gazed at the coastal panoramic views on the way as well.

At the sunset we went to the Byron Bay beach where locals were playing, singing and dancing while tourists/ backpackers were chilling, drinking or smoking on the beach or in their caravans. It was a cozy hippies’ atmosphere and the city seemed to be alive.
