Short drive from Perth we stopped at the Lesmurdie Falls. 10 minutes walk was easy but the view wasn’t
impressive. Just good to stretch legs before the long drive to Wave Rock.
On the way to our destination we saw a dog statue which marked the entrance to Corrigin Dogs cemetery.
It took us around 4 hours, 340 km through the boring, straight and empty road to get there. 5 minutes’ walk from the campsite was the instagramable Wave rock which actually looked pretty cool considering that the shape was formed naturally by weathering and water erosion. The curved cliff was 15 meters high and 110 meters long.
Wave Rock Caravan Park campsite was full with lots of flies around so we had to get fly nets for ourselves to be less annoyed by them. First campsite dinner with the heat, salads and steak, and card games afterwards was a successful start of the road trip before getting freaky cold at night (temperature dropped from 35 at day time to 16 at night).
