Spit Bridge to Manly walk

Coming back to reality...

Since I started working in the Italian restaurant as a hostess, only half day is left for exploring new walks, travelling and enjoying places Australia has to offer. At least Sydney and the areas around have a lot to offer even for few hours getaway.

One of them is 10 km scenery walk from Spit Bridge to Manly. It's Sunday, + 23 degrees. Lots of locals and tourists are enjoying the perfect weather outside instead of scrolling their phones and living in virtual reality. That's why I am impressed and in love with Australia the most!

Passing through the natural bushland, spectacular views of the Harbour and the ocean with cliffs open up. All walks I've already done seem to offer similar views unfortunately each of them has its own face. For this reason I can't get bored of exploring new trails.

Besides the therapy of Vitamin D and happy people around, small inner and secret beaches make the walk even more attractive and invite to come back on summer time and hide from the crowd in the main beaches. Forty basket beach is the one I'm definitely coming back to.

Walking further I reach the North Harbour Reserve - a park with electric BBQs, playground and picnic areas. It smells so good! It's like a BBQ festival all the time. Locals are carrying their picnic baskets, camping chairs, blankets to create the cozy atmosphere in order to enjoy romantic moments with their beloved ones.

After 3 hours walk I finally reach the destination -Manly. It's so touristic! It's only 30 min by ferry from CBD and has a huge nice beach with perfect spots for surfing. Although it's still winter, it is very crowded and I don't even want to see how it looks like in summer time then :)
