I’ve been waiting for this event for so long and finally it came. It’s such an amazing feeling to sit in Ken Rosewall Arena and finally see the tennis match live. Even though the weather just changed yesterday to worse and it rains half of the day, it doesn’t affect my happiness. I just sit and smile. I don’t need anything else.
The rain on the 2nd day was more intense and lots of games were suspended but this didn’t ruin our day because the evening promised a lot. Fast4 Showdown with R.Nadal, N.Kyrgios, M.Raonic and J.Millman which was supposed to happen despite bad weather conditions. It was so great to see one of the legends in tennis world. Even though he wasn’t in his best shape, it was a memorable experience.
The 3rd day was totally different with themperature around 30C and clear sky. It was hot but at the same time it was a great opportunity to see many players in the courts.
I’ve never enjoyed watching doubles on TV but watching it live was even more interesting and challenging.
While watching the match on TV we never think of how many people contribute for the game to take place: 1 chair umpire, 5 line umpires, 6 ballkids and unknown number of off-court officials and this not even includes the broadcasting on TV.
Next year I should definitely go to experience Australian Open in Melbourne.
Enough watching, let’s play!
